No I removed it and put it back in 48 hours later but you have to put a small bit of force to put it back in and because the paint was only 95% dry there’s fingerprints
I would remove it once gain and lightly sand the flat edges with wet 600 to flatten it back out. Should still be wet enough that it’ll still adhere to the rest of the paint. Make sure and get your angles on the inside and cover up that primer
If you paint over existing paint you don’t need primer, since it already has primer. Make sure to use multiple coats to make sure that the color doesn’t bleed through. Sand it down past the top coat with 300-600 for best adhesion
You can see where it’s chipping already from you trying to use the vent as a vent and adjust it.
This is not going to turn out well after more than a week of being in the car, man. You need to get a new, stock one and leave it alone.
There’s a very specific reason that an auto manufacturer has never ever painted vents. The paint is going to jam up all the bits that move and it’s going to get scraped off.
Depends on the paint you used. It may have instructions for removal on the paint you used. If not, use solvents in a degree of less potent to just using paint remover. My concern is painter remover may eat the plastic.
What is even happening
Idk man my shop only paints the outsides of cars
God dammit 😂
What the fuck lol Also "bass coat" 💀
Need to go back and add a treble coat.
Did you paint it attached to the car?

Should I sand lightly and then put a light coat of white primer on and then base coat or just sand and then paint
I would sand and just use the paint

Nah dude. Keep it. It looks tough sister

Just stop please.
Put it in the trash, go to a junkyard, get a new vent, leave it stock.
That vent is going to be a nightmare to close and open

Why? How is that even cool?
