Wonderful pictures! Side note however... Is it just me or is the Tesla Cybertruck design going from cool to meh before it even comes out? Like at first I thought wow it's edgy(literally) and fun and different, but now it just makes me think of a late 90's 3d game rendering of a truck..
I was unimpressed seeing it online, but after visiting to the museum a few months ago and seeing it in person, I actually came away really liking it.
It seems massive in person, like some kind of surreal monster truck. Maybe it seemed bigger then it actually is, because it was surrounded by smaller cars, but it stood out amongst a lot of brilliant designs there.
Either way the electric car exhibit was very cool and I would recommend it to anyone.
On the same page there - love the cars but will likely never reasonably afford one lol. Took some great photos there, looks like a really cool collection! The Studebaker Sceptre (photo 5) is also a really nifty car, it never ended up being produced on a factory scale but was commissioned by an American designer and built in Italy. Back in the 60s that thing must have looked like a space ship!
I hope it doesn't. EVs are a big lie that will put the world in an even worse place. It's more eco friendly to own an old car than a new Tesla. I quite like hydrogen cars tho, I hope they get more development than EVs.
I mean history can be fascinating, and significant whether it's good or bad. The mere fact that the Cybertruck existed, and the whole context surrounding it is interesting to me if even just for the cultural significance. EV vs ICE debate aside there is no denying the Cybertruck has an interesting place in the history of the automobile and pop culture and probably for the wrong reasons.
When we were there 4-5 years ago the Vault tour had a "*no cameras, no pictures....Actually, we require you forget everything you see here today*" rule. I'm glad they finally lightened up on that and realized that 'pics equal buzz equal more visitors'.
There was a sign that said they might be filming for a tv show and there’d be a possibility that we’d be seen on camera. I didn’t see anything to that affect.
That place is too expensive I doubt I'll ever get to see everything in there, I was there once with general admission
People do whatever they want with prices there just like grocery Store's in Los Angeles
I understand. It was a treat for us. My husband is a car guy (‘55 Chevy Bel Air…all stock) and we both love cars especially vintage like ours. Have you been to the Nethercutt?

Was it ever cool?
No. No it wasn’t
When in came out I thought Musk was trolling everyone. Even though it’s supposedly coming out, I still feel like he’s trolling everyone somehow
He is. I genuinely believe it was a propaganda. They got so much attention from it that will benefit them whether or not it goes into production
Yep…you got that right. If you’re ever in LA, I highly recommend this place.
Also side tip, it’s worth going to even if you’ve been before. They frequently rotate the vehicles on display.
Thank you..I didn’t know that.

Not to mention it still doesn’t actually exist
it always looked like shit, you were bamboozled by internet hype
also, it looks like the rear air suspension deflated on it.
Is it actually coming out?
If I was a betting g man, I would say "no".
Thank God!
F1 car collection caught my eye, those are pretty rare. Love the Enzo too
That’s what my husband said. He also loves the brand but we don’t and won’t own one. lol

I fucking hate the cybertruck. nice pics tho 👍
I do to. Such a corny looking vehicle. Still would be kinda cool to see as a piece of automotive history.

What's the car in the 5th pic?
1962 Studebaker Sceptre concept. I'd never heard of it before so I had to look it up. That thing is gorgeous!
Thank you . We forgot
No worries :-)
The Cybertruck got thrown into a museum before they got around to selling it.
The Cybertruck must be the first production car landing in a museum before hitting the road or even being build
Hetfield collection is pretty cool
First ever squatted cybertruck
Looks like you opted for the extra vault/basement tour. I loved that! Highly recommend.
Yes… it was amazing!

*petersen
Oops…thank you
Looks like the suspension collapsed in the cyber truck
Always the Pedersen and never the Nethercutt
It’s on our list….
That place is too expensive I doubt I'll ever get to see everything in there, I was there once with general admission People do whatever they want with prices there just like grocery Store's in Los Angeles
The gas station across from the museum wanted $7.99 for premium gas!!!! Wtf??????
Petersen.
You’re right. Thank you
their youtube channel has zero chill. hours of vids about the collection
I didn’t even know they had one
[voila](https://www.youtube.com/@PetersenMuseum)
Ok… I’m on it. Thanks
A slide full of unique cars
I took more but didn’t want to go crazy on Reddit. For people who love cars, it’s like being a kid in a candy store
What’s the black car in 5th picture?
A custom car
God no please no why did they squat the cyber truck
I don’t know
These are great! I’ll post mine from a few years back. Thanks for sharing. That Enzo!🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
I love living in LA. I grew up here and frequent the petersen. I’ve been going since i was a kid
That’s cool. There’s a museum in my hometown that I always took my kids to when they were young. Nice memories.
This picture is absolutely stunning. Wow, that's an amazing image of a car! This image is definitely one to be appreciated by any car enthusiast
Thank you
I am so glad you liked it
I liked it better before the big remodel when it had the full size dioramas of California car culture. It was something non car guys could appreciate.
It was my first time there so I had nothing to compare it to.
It's still a great car museum, but it felt more unique before. Definitely more California centric before.
I understand. It was a treat for us. My husband is a car guy (‘55 Chevy Bel Air…all stock) and we both love cars especially vintage like ours. Have you been to the Nethercutt?
>Nethercutt No I havent
