I love Old 97’s! I’ve seen them live several times. They’ve been around since the 90s and have a really dedicated cult following, but they’ve never really broken it big. Hopefully this turns a lot more people onto them. Their album Too Far to Care is especially terrific.
Great band! Anyone into alt country stuff like early Wilco or adjacent kinds of bands (think the Replacements) will love them. There’s a great compilation they have on Spotify called Hit by a train that rules. If you’re not into countryish stuff the second half of it gets more alt-rock and has the song “question” you may recognize if you’re a fan of the show Scrubs.
"4 tickets for Barbie please"
Me and the boys walking into the theater to get Barbie tickets
Gibson has really amped up their sales to get instuments on Knowhere.
I’m digging the costumes ngl
Can they do the griddy tho
Whoa. I saw these guys at Master Musicians Festival 2017. I didn't pay much attention because I was just there for Dawes, but this is really cool.
I was watching them locally in the 90s. Had no idea they were still around.
I saw them back in 2001 at Pineknob with Train and Matchbox Twenty. They were fun, I liked their song Buick City Complex.
Gonna tell my kids this is Primus

First dude looks like Colin Robinson starring in Bright
Gives me the Cramps vibes. I feel like Gunn is probably a Cramps fan.
is that groots long lost cousin?
Excellent band! Hope they play 4 Leaf Clover or Time Bomb…

I’m so excited: I’ve got a few set lists and posters from the last 13 years in Nashville. A lot of good songs from the old 97s!
This looks v cozy
These guys were really good.
The makeup up for these GOTG films has never NOT looked like people in obv makeup. Terrible design direction..
Personally very very glad they’ve always gone with this rather than CGI makeovers. Love how on-set/in person it feels. Wonderful direction imo!
Makeup isn't the problem, it's the quality of the prosthetics. They look like dudes wearing Amazon Halloween masks..
