All Woody Guthrie's catalogue. Much of Bob Dylans early work. Frank Turner has a bunch.

Musicguy1982

“Pancho and Lefty” by Townes Van Zandt. The first lyric is “Living on the road my friend…”

[deleted]

TVZ is the best songwriter. Clay Pigeons by Blaze Foley comes to mind too

HomerThompson15

So many songs by Lord Huron are about that

Runnin on Empty by Jackson Brown

MasteringTheFlames

Speaking of Jackson Browne, [The Load Out](https://youtu.be/rukvfk9a6rY) is a brilliant tribute to all the roadies of the music world, and general life of a touring musician.

“Traveling Alone” by Jason Isbell is a good one. One of my favorite songs to play and sing, really reminds me of driving late in remote areas. Also, “Willin’” by Little Feat, I like the Linda Ronsdadt cover. Black Crowes also do a version of this. Edit: just listened to Ronsdadt’s version of Willin again for the first time in a while. It really makes me feel the on the road/traveling emotion, even though I haven’t had that job in a while. Love that song.

SweetCosmicPope

Turn the Page by Bob Seger, but I actually prefer the Metallica version.

Metallica is bad ( in my opinion ). I have to watch my words because every nerd is going to comment on why I can't say anything bad about Metallica

Immoral_Werewolf

Another by Metallica- Wherever I may Roam

OpticRocky

As a fellow ADTR enthusiast I wonder if you’ve also listened to Everything We Need; same ADTR Ballad vibe of their newest record. Off the top of my head I’ll also recommend [So Long For Now](https://youtu.be/gE2QT0rGnhA) by Fall From Grace; a smaller band I followed closely for a while, still has some of the pop-punk/emo vibes

aversionals

Definitely have heard ADTR's entire discography like 100x lol I love that song as well!
