It's funny, he had a great April compared to last year and then just turned it off once May hit. I feel like if he could just be consistent people can be okay with Lindor.
Why can’t we say anything bad about him? Cohen pays the man to win games. He hasn’t done much of that since being a NYM. This is New York. Nut the fuck up!
The debate about Lindor will be endless as long as he continues to struggle as he has. We need him to be a consistency in our lineup, not the exception and we go wild when he actually does something. Too many batters looking lost at the plate so far this season. Concerning.
Lindor straight up doesn't look like a hitter to be feared at the plate. Gets challenged repeatedly and loses. Not a great look for a 341 million dollar 3 hitter.
This is the second time in 3 games that we have had the lead TWICE in a game and ended up losing.
The ninth inning rallies are exciting but the bullpen needs help. These leads need to be held!!!
You mean we Nido to be a passable catcher? 3 of the Cardinals 4 runs were surrendered by Walker, if Nido is even semi competent the cardinals don't score in the ninth
Apparently we're a fanbase of fairweather whiny sore losers. When things are good we're good to go; lose half the games in a day and everyone explodes. I think I am used to the fanbase from mediocre years where it all falls apart in August or September, where no matter what folks stand behind their players. And back then batting .200 was good enough for the best on the team...
A few things could've gone right tonight that might've changed the outcome of the game. Minor details. But a frustrating, ate game loss.
A better grab from Escobar for throwing out at first, game saved. But plenty other instances that prevent the game from getting to that point too. Double header days are long and grueling, and being short a few of your best players is particularly taxing.
Let's hope they get some sleep and turn it back on tomorrow.
This subreddit (edit: the whining vocal part at least...) seems to expect flawless 25 wins each month... Like they forgot there were two games today too...
And quick to gab and talk shit this early in a season... Especially when things are going generally well. We could be the fucking Phil's or nats right now...
Yeah, it’s pathetic how angry and toxic a lot of the thread becomes during a loss. My comment was immediately downvoted by these dimwits lol.
Even Juan Soto can’t always come up in the clutch. That’s sports.
It may shock these poor bumbling idiots, but our team average is top 5 with runners in scoring position. These people should be on beta-blockers lol.
The ***best*** batter in baseball produces an out ~70% of the time.
Yeah we want that clutch factor, and it won't always be there. Seen plenty of times when we've pulled it off, and seen pleeeeeeenty of times when the opposition pulled it off on us (imagine living Philly after blowing a 6 run lead in a single inning a few weeks back...)
Been going to games since I was 4years old at Shea, if there is one thing I lhave learned: no lead is safe for either team even if it's the 8th inning, 9th inning, whatever. NEVER leave a game early. You DO NOT want to hear about the grand slam come-backer walk-off from the car radio on the LIE... (As great as Howie is...) ...You want to be there watching it!
but damn, this sub after a loss makes me want to unsub from this reddit completely. Makes our fanbase look really entitled and like we take even mediocre or exceptional baseball for granted.
Incredibly well said and a shame it’ll be lost in the chat.
I get it. It’s incredibly easy to get lost in the moment. We see Lindor or Alonso at the plate with runners on in the 9th and you expect them to be the hero every time because we’ve created this illusion that they won’t let us down. They couldn’t possibly. One is paid $300 million and isn’t allowed to fail and the other is this Goliath figure. But they’re susceptible just like every player.
Here’s a fun fact, Lindor hits better than Mike Trout with RISP and RISP with 2 outs. Not by much but it puts things in perspective. And he’s doing so with more attempts in both categories.
Like you said, it’s hard to be apart of these threads. When things don’t go as we’d hope them to, the noice from these toxic fans in deafening. Alas, we can’t expect everyone to be rational.
I love Lindor but he has been very un clutch for us.
Also fuck off Nido. Make a move for a catcher, this shit is ridiculous riding with Nido and Mazeika.
Chokes up a half an inch with a 1-2 count and the tying run in scoring position, takes these huge long cuts against a pitcher with gas, like plz just choke up and slap something dude. Ask Jeff.
Yea, anyone who actually knows the game and watches him can see his lefty swing is basically a groove swing. The ball needs to be in his zone for him to put a good swing on it
Wouldn’t call it entirely BECAUSE of umps but the tenor of Canha’s at bat changed drastically with that awful call. We had opportunities we just didn’t take advantage of unfortunately
Please continue the discussion in the [post game thread](https://redd.it/us2tcj).
Our broadcasters are making fun of the crowd chanting.
Y’all go on tilt so fast. It’a a tough loss, move on . See you all tomorrow !
Losing the last 2/3 in the same exact copy paste bullshit way is fucked.
If this team fell out of a boat, they wouldn’t hit water. How do you start a guy hitting .190 as your DH?
It's funny, he had a great April compared to last year and then just turned it off once May hit. I feel like if he could just be consistent people can be okay with Lindor.
Lindor haters real quiet 🤓🤓
McNeil- clutch af Lindor- not
Linder contract gonna fuck us. Can’t hit shit but every idiot on this sight thinks he’s like able for sucking
I'm not saying anything good or bad about Lindor but it honestly seems like he's ALWAYS down 0-2 in the count. That's not a recipe for success.
Why can’t we say anything bad about him? Cohen pays the man to win games. He hasn’t done much of that since being a NYM. This is New York. Nut the fuck up!

lindor is already turning out to be one of the worst signings this franchise has ever made
Lindor straight up doesn't look like a hitter to be feared at the plate. Gets challenged repeatedly and loses. Not a great look for a 341 million dollar 3 hitter.

Frustrating game. Good to still split double header. Let's get the win tomorrow.
got fucked because of a shitty catcher and an ump that wants to go home
The amount of people attacking Lindor right now. Jeez.

He fucking sucks. .230 hitter. That’s all he will ever be as a Met. Maybe he will get hot and hit .250 in June.
That check swing single was so painful
Still an automatic out for any third baseman but ours.
love lindor but dude just swings for the fences immediately. he doesnt try batting until hes down 0-2. the first 2 pitches are hacks
Nothing to love about him as a baseball player. He’s shit.
Welp. Once again, a head scratching approach with risp and less than 2 outs. This was winnable. Let’s get them tomorrow.
Any Met fan knew this game was over in the 6th when we had the bases lodes and Escobar struck out and McNeil pop flies out.
On the bright side for tomorrow, we’re 12-1 following a loss.
1 step forward 1 step back... this team cant string together wins and its getting super annoying
Can’t win em all. Calm down guys. Pete was here just the other day. Give it a rest.

Why does it seem like they’re all trying to end this game with one swing?
Lindor looking way too much like 2021 Lindor at the plate again
You know what, Keith's right. They were never out of it, they didn't give up, let's just keep on trucking. Can still try to win the series.
I love Lindor but he has been very un clutch for us. Also fuck off Nido. Make a move for a catcher, this shit is ridiculous riding with Nido and Mazeika.
Gimenez having a better year than Lindor
lindor aint a #3 hitter, and he hasnt been for a few years now
You can't walk people pit of the bullpen, it's fucking ridiculous
Cant believe we’re stuck with this guy for another decade
Canha should have been walked if the ump wasn’t blind.
Lindor sucks
Great AB
Mets never could get the one hit to break this game open. Second rate Cards team kept trying to give it away
$341 million to bat .229. Brilliant fucking contract.
Some of our guys just are not clutch
so happy we spent $340M to watch games end like that for the next 9.5 years
I want to like Lindor. He makes it hard
Mets fought back so this one hurts
Lindor just trying to play hero ball all at bat
*facepalms*
Mr 341 ladies and gents
God damn Lindor. Not good man. Not good at all.
A hearty fuck you to the home plate umpire
Can’t wait to see this fuck’s scorecard
340 million baby. Only 10 years to go
👎😐👎
I'm really salty about that passed ball
Nido should have blocked the other one, too. Awarded two bases.
I want to see the ump scorecard on this inning.
The whole game, there were a bunch of missed calls early too.
Fuck the Redbirds
Paying 300 mill to hit sub 230. Terrible contract all around.
There's another game tomorrow night.
#fuck
Stop fucking jinxing it Jesus
I can't fucking wait for robo umps, fuck that umpire.
Great job by Lindor.
Lindors stroke is way too long. Just a base hit would do.
Yep, its been like that since we got him
Chokes up a half an inch with a 1-2 count and the tying run in scoring position, takes these huge long cuts against a pitcher with gas, like plz just choke up and slap something dude. Ask Jeff.
Yea, anyone who actually knows the game and watches him can see his lefty swing is basically a groove swing. The ball needs to be in his zone for him to put a good swing on it
Lindor sucks balls
Fucking awesome that our 35 million dollar bat wildly swings and misses with the game on the line
Watch out people are obsessed with Lindor here even when he sucks they will downvote you.
Oof
That’s nice, another tease
The ump ruined the game for us with those calls against Canha
1st pitch of that AB ruined the whole inning
I agree, widened the zone completely
[удалено]
Yep
👍
WHAT A JOKE. A FUCKING JOKE. EXACTLY HOW WE LOST SUNDAY.
Booooo
This loss will leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Nimmo 🥺
Hopefully just a little bruise where he’ll be ready to go tomorrow.
Dude is made of glass, I'm making mental arrangements for a 50 game absence
341
This ump lost us this game
Typical
Overpaid
its such a bitch thing to say we lose bc umps but this umpire is absolutely brutal. that or the SNY graphic is just wrong
Wouldn’t call it entirely BECAUSE of umps but the tenor of Canha’s at bat changed drastically with that awful call. We had opportunities we just didn’t take advantage of unfortunately
The ballgame is over.
This ump is tripping man wtf
i have a weird feeling this game on umpire report will be like +1.97 runs for stl
This fucking ump.
+1 run for the ump scorecard tomorrow
more, x2 atleast
These are pitches right down the pipe.
I’m sorry but this pitcher has some pretty good shit
CMON LINDOR
Here it goes
Ump is getting cold and tired
ump.
Ray Charles could do a better job behind the plate.
Not looking good fellas
Downvoted for being honest
This ump just wants to go home Jesus can you make it any less obvious
That was a strike in the corner unfortunately
This ump just wants to go home and it shows.
You motherless fuck
Gallegos is so fucking slow to the plate
Slow to first base too
God that was a good pitch.
Legit unhittable
Blue is on drugs
What is this ump calling?
Fuck beautiful pitch
This ump wants to go home clearly
This ump is fucking dogshit
That was right down the plate
The ump wants to go home.
Gallegos takes light years in between pitches holy shit
Pitch clock please.
Dude takes forever Christ almighty
lindor wanna be a met?
Bro fuck off and just pitch
All those runners left on base…. Yup it always bites you in the end
lindor please
Our last two swings were going for the homer when we just need a single.
I love our announcers but holy hell Keith breathing into the mic drives me nuts
All season long. I’m waiting for someone to say something.
Damn. That was the pitch
i need the camera to stop shaking
Wow what a 1st pitch
Stop trying to hit home runs lindor. Also hit a homerun lindor
Hit one. But don’t try to.
These are the moments when you hope it’s 300 million well spent
Okay listen Lindor. This is why you’re being paid. So, you know, let’s do this.
We’ve certainly had our chances both offensively and defensively to win this game.
Lindor, I will love you forever
Lindor's got the best walk-up music. Pump, pump it up!!
Come on Francisco, you got this
They're not walking Lindor this time
canha was right on that pitch, if his bat was literally an inch lower that ball was winding up on the moon lmao
Should’ve been a 3-1 count but whatever let’s try for more two out magic
Canha realized too late that was lingering in the zone
Bring us home Lindor! Gotta get that average up baby.
Lindor’s chance to make some of you shut the fuck up for at least 5 minutes.
Lindor locked in LFGOOOOOO
Gotta love when the ump widens the zone bottom of the ninth
The only pitch that was a strike in the Canha at bat was the last one.
Earn your money here Francisco
Earn that contract Franky
Lindor needs to put the team on his back here
Admittedly a Debbie downer but his swing looks terrible rn
All comes down to Lindor
Perfect time for some Lindor heroics!
That felt like a car wrapped in wrapping paper but you keep unwrapping it and end up with a fucking Apple
That first “strike” changed the whole AB.
That was the same pitch that ruined the at bat for Escobar with the bases loaded. Called strike on an outside pitch.
Would've been a strike if he didn't swing anyway. should've been strike two with the swing though
Fuck that pitch was nasty
Robo umps when
Alright Lindor this could be a moment
Canha got fucked. Should have been a four pitch walk
One day this Mets team will make my heart explode. I just hope it's from happiness not sorrow.
OK that was a good pitch. Sucks, but still.
Should have been strike 2. First called strike was well outside.
Prove me wrong Lindor
Lindor, prove this guy wrong.
I would like the same
lindor is up it’s over
Time to earn it Lindor
No DP at least. Still have a shot with Lindor.
Should’ve been a walk but the ump is fucking blind
Canha should be an ump when he retires. Better eye than all those Bozo's
Now he swings through a fastball right down the plate lol
It’s those fucking bullshit strikes that ruined that at bat
This umpire so inconsistent
First strike of the at bat
The second pitch was at least borderline. Strike one wasn't even close.
This team is going to kill me at some point lmao
Oh buck you gonna make believe
This dude takes two minutes between pitches I swear
He seems a little gassed.
Canha strikes out :(
Not even his fault
Canha is so fucking disciplined at the plate.
