The earliest family car that I can remember is our '64 Buick Wildcat 4-door sedan. It was similar to this LeSabre but with nicer exterior and interior trim and a "Wildcat 445 V-8," which was a 401 nail head putting out 445 ft-lbs of torque. For a time in the 60's, Buick advertised their engines by their peak torque ratings. The top of the the line was a 425 cid nail head with dual quads putting out a stump pulling 465 lbs-ft!
Edit: I forgot to say that your car is pretty. It looks like a fun cruiser.
A guy was selling it locally, he was the second owner. Original owner put 28,000 miles on it since it rolled off the lot in ‘64, until 10 or so years ago. Kept it in a heated garage, and never drove it in winter. Even the manuals and all the dealer paperwork were in basically brand new condition. The car has been in the same county it’s entire life, the dealership is just a few towns over
Beautiful. The instrument panel looks like my ‘63 Riviera.
You have the Buick Nailhead engine. Lots of torque.
Let me know if the heater control knob under the dash (that controls the heated air temperature) is broken. This is common. I have a fix for that.
Nice, but you just wrote about your "64 foot Buick Lesabre" which makes no sense. Abbreviated dates get the apostrophe before the year: '64. Put ater a number, the apostrophe means "feet": "My boat is 32' long." Why do people not know this? Probably because they barely ever read much of anything. Anyway, nice car. I rode in one of these as a kid, and it was pretty cool. Have fun.
Ill have to take some photos of the interior, that's where it really shines. Carpet, headliner, upholstery all is in like new condition. The original owner really babied it
I was 10 years old when that car came home from the Buick dealer. I grew up around cars that big, but just think just how HUGE that car is to your average teenager.
Very cool, and amazing condition. I had a 1963 Belair back when I was young and stupid, and your car has the same 'C' pillar, with a rear door top shape that mirrors the curve of the bottom of the rear window, if you see what I mean.
To grasp how long this is, note that the rear door is completely ahead of the rear wheel. The Chevy Tahoe rear door has a cutout for the wheel; you have to move up to a Suburban to get the rear door ahead of the wheel. And the trunk! You could sneak the football team into the drive-in with that trunk.
1964 Buick Lesabre, with 32,000 original miles. Such a fun car to drive around, longer than my truck by a good margin too.

It's definitely my cup of tea bro. Where'd you find an almost mint condition 64' lesabre?

Like my 65 Riviera too. This car is in gorgeous condition. I’m jealous.
32,000 miles ! Wow, gorgeous car. Prime GM. Never sell it.
That's more like several dozen pots of tea.
It's big, it has four doors and if I had it I would drive the wheels off it.
Nailheads for life!
I dig it
Very nice 👍
Love those lonnnnnnnnnnnng lines.
Yeah, me too. Reminds me of the green car that Livia Soprano (and later Janice) drove in the series.
Absolutely love it, I'm a full size olds guy and I love buicks just as much!
More of these four door classics please
*ThAtS nOt A bUiCk!*
Nah man, that is a sweet ride!

This is *definitely* my cup of tea.
She's a beauty

I love it! Sedans don’t lose any points in my book and they’re about to come up in value
That's lovely 😁
I like those old American cars, got a style to em, u did well.
Now that's my cup of tea, but it need a one barrel carb

I'll take a first class cabin, please.

It's fantastic
Cool. I used to have one. Let me know if you’re ever thinking of selling.
And when gasoline is no more, attach a sail to the roof and tack your way through traffic
Beautiful car. I had a 1987 Olds Custom Cruiser Wagon. Longest car on the road. I had vanity plates that said, "USS OLDS".
That's badass
Beautiful art!!!
Cooler than my 2001 LeSabre
I can only ever hear that name pronounced Luh Sah Bray thanks to vicegrip garage.
Classy!
Kinda forget lesabres used to be a beautiful breed
Bravo for keeping it stock and resisting the trend to install modern wheels on a classic, they always look shitty.
I love the sedans. Thanks for sharing!
This is an unsung vehicle. Great long lines and like the slight fins carried over from the old big fins of the 50’s. Very nice.
