u/DPaskin, you need to check the settings for the Exchange account in the iOS Mail App. After that is done, then you can test with the Exchange account by sending an email from the exchange account to your own gmail account. (I have an exchange account and use iOS's Mail app and have no problems at all) Best Regards

u/DPaskin were you ever able to resolve this? Having the exact same issue.

Not really. :-( It's gotten a tiny better with the latest iOS updated released, but still an issue sometimes. I've just started using Outlook for my work/Exchange email, to guarantee it goes out. I wonder – and this is pure speculation... – if the new features in the mail app are somehow throwing off the operations of Exchange accounts. In special, the new "delay" function, that let's you undo sending a message (aka hold off sending it) for a few minutes after pressing "Send." In any case, I'm sticking with Outlook for now, which unfortunately means running two apps for emails most of the time. ;-(

Yup I wrote below that we're seeing this same behavior for random users. Absolutely mental why IOS wouldn't catch the fact that an email wasn't sent (or exchange would reject it without telling IOS).

Having the same issue. Sent emails have disappeared and recipient does not receive. I have disabled the “undo send” feature in hopes this will resolve the issue. This is an account connected to Office 365.

Any update on this? I have the same problem, intermittently. I didn't know about the undo send. How do you disable it? Turn off the undo send delay?

ArmchairBatman

Sorry for the delay, but under settings > mail, at the bottom

WalrusWW

No prob.. I googled it and turned it off. Haven’t had the problem since. Stupid feature.

WalrusWW

I have the same issue, and it seems intermittent.

Any updates on this? My users are experiencing this issue now...

We are having the same issue for some users. Problem is this isn't consistent. Seems to work most of the time. But the nightmare is that when it doens't work it gives you no indication. The user thinks the email sent fine. But it never shows up in sent times, outbox, or anywhere else. Just disappears as the OP mentions. Happened 2 users so far that I know of. Scares me of how many users this is happening to but they don't realize it.
