Between the incorrect eye colour for female raptors, undersized Pteras, undersized/underbulked Spinosaurus, HORRIFIC chaos theory mode for it - I’m almost certain the devs despise Jurassic Park 3..

Uzeil21

There definitely feels like some bullshit is going on with JP3.

abrasaxual

Its probably th3 weakest movie in the series imo. I still liked it but not the best

reply671

I’ll take the Raptors being fixed over the Pteranodons. I don’t mind the JP3’s being smaller since they resemble Ludodactylus which is smaller than Pteranodon. Although I would like them to be bigger, but it’s not a immersion breaking issue atm like the JP3 raptors were.

Giger_jr

I agree, to an extent. Missing teeth were pretty darn bad and had to be fixed asap, but the JP Ptera being so small compared to its JW counterpart is as offensive for me as JP3 males having no quills.

BevansDesign

I think it's pretty unlikely that they'll change the scale of anything. That requires them to change the animations, which is a whole lot of work. And it's not just one dino, but any dino that has an interaction animation with them.

Giger_jr

Aren’t they already using the JW Ptera animations though?

Plebbosaurid

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Frontier don't need to change animations for a different size. There are many instances where they SHOULD have changed animation for differently sized species but didn't (in the first game, Herrerasaurus used Spinoraptor's roar animation and it looked stiffer than Spinoraptor's because of the different sizes.) I'm sorry, if Frontier says anything about tweaking animations on differently sized models then it's just a flat out lie.

Thatguythatlivesbad

It's so strange to see JP3 pterosaurs so small. In the movie they were massive. But it's possible that JW ones actually are a little bigger (considering that some of the ones that appeared in the movie looked more like dragons than pterosaurs.) But it certainly wouldn't be that big of a difference.

Giger_jr

*JP3 Female Raptors still have red eyes. Mods to the rescue, I guess.

reply671

They look better than JWE1’s tbh. They have a slight yellowish tinge to them. Maybe not film accurate but better than before.

Nuke2099MH

Considering the JP3 females had yellow eyes that's more film accurate.

austro_hungary

They had yellow eyes the jp3 raptors were most accurate there

AJ_Crowley_29

It’s literally just eye color oh my god how needy are you?

Accomplished_Rip_746

Just…wait. Ffs you guys are so impatient. They’ll fix it all

Giger_jr

Something tells me it’s the end of the line in terms of JP3 Raptor updates, unless a LOT of people will ask for more. I’m fine with how they are after the latest update, tbh. Just wanted to point out what’s still not screen-accurate for those who care.

UncleJackkk

Why would it be the end of the line? The game only came out a couple months ago

mjmannella

They never fixed it in JWE1, why would they fix it now?

UncleJackkk

I don’t know, I just don’t jump to conclusions so quickly after a game’s release

mjmannella

They had over 2 years to change the eye's colour, something that can be done in under an hour. Jumping to conclusions would be hastily saying everything will be fixed without reflecting on the company's past 3+ years of their zoo sims.

austro_hungary

Why change the eye color in jwe1 when they had the same eye color

mjmannella

The raptor's eye colour in JWE1 was red, like it is in JWE2. This is not accurate the the film, and was something easily fixable. Nonetheless, we still have this issue 2+ years later

austro_hungary

It’s looks identical to me, all though probably they’re not now that I try to find differences, no one had mentioned how the pupil is slightly smaller

UncleJackkk

Okay, well regardless, I personally don’t make those assumptions. To each their own

Giger_jr

I’m only referring to JP3 raptors specifically. There will be other updates, of course. From the dev’s stand point, there is nothing wrong with them now, and they most likely have lots of other tasks to prioritise over changing the eye colour of this one particular skin that is not actually used that often, probably.

mjmannella

How many people said this after the RtJP DLC in JWE1?

Accomplished_Rip_746

Again. Who the hell cares if it’s 100% movie accurate?! You guys got what you wanted. Now you’re mad about some eyes?!

Nuke2099MH

Many people care if it's movie accurate. Otherwise what's the point in having the movie based skins at all.

sable-king

The only one mad here is you, apparently. They simply (and calmly) pointed out that the eyes are the wrong color. That's it. You're the one who immediately threw a tantrum calling people impatient.

Accomplished_Rip_746

Well they are!!! They can never wait for shit!! They expect cause it’s the second game they expect everything to instantly be better. And they just mod mod mod mod

sable-king

> Well they are!!! They can never wait for shit!! Christ, are you ten? There's literally nothing wrong with pointing out a mistake. They weren't shitting on Frontier, just identifying a problem they would like to see fixed. > And they just mod mod mod mod Well, yes. A mod that fixes one specific problem typically gets released much faster than an official update that fixes not only that one problem but a litany of other problems. Mods provide a quick fix in the interim between official updates.

Accomplished_Rip_746

Well everyone here seems 10

sable-king

"No u" Absolutely stellar argument.

austro_hungary

It’s hilarious how jwe1 jp3 raptors were movie accurate yet everyone thinks their eyes are orange (theyre yellowish orange like jwe1 had them)

reply671

Like I said before, the eyes of the female look different than the males. In JWE1, they used the same eye textures. In JWE2 the males have the red and the females have the yellow tinged eyes. Maybe not the bright yellow in the film but still an improvement over JWE1. Like the Legacy Rexes, the Legacy Raptors got a glow up. The Tiger Males look darker and the Females look duller but retail the pattern. The 93 raptors aren’t as dark brown as they were. And the 2001 raptors are perfect.

Giger_jr

I agree, it’s an improvement over the first game.

Soycordado

I love that the JP3 pteras are tiny. As far as I know, a lot of pterosaurs that had bigger crests were sexually dimorphic. The males had crests the females had smaller or no crests, or so the story goes. I *think* the design decision around the JW pteras was supposed to reflect that. Some birds have larger females and that's been hypothesized for some dinos. So now my head canon is that the females are the JW and they're massive by comparison and the JP3 are the males! Lol idk i just love that.

Giger_jr

Except that all Pteras looked the same in JP3, despite having offspring, and clearly were of the same size (if not bigger) as the JW ones. Also, having teeth as a sexual dimorphism trait is a bit of a stretch. I don’t buy it. They’ve probably just imported the JWE model to JWE2 and it ended up looking noticeably outdated compared to other assets, so they’ve decided to downscale it.

Soycordado

well, yes, you're absolutely right about all of that, and I'm not going to complain if they change the models. But I still love thinking about them that way, especially in a franchise that explains everything away with 'genetic modification' even if it's canon. Also I try to avoid looking at the teeth of the JP3 pteras. Freaks me out almost as much as the beakless horse faces on the JW stegos.

Senior_Tough2269

Be grateful for the update - find something to complain about Somehow you guys are always the opposite side of the spectrum

Giger_jr

Be grateful for the improvements so far - point out what can be improved next. I don’t think it’s a bad attitude.

Uzeil21

So I guess you don't want any more updates or bug fixes because the game is perfect. /s

Senior_Tough2269

Bitch what😭 learn to be grateful they know about the bugs

Plebbosaurid

No one would complain if Frontier double-checked the movie designs so they actually, y'know, ***look like the movie designs***

Senior_Tough2269

That’s what they did and people are complaining. It’s a bit smaller god cry about it

Dino_SPY

Boo this man.

Senior_Tough2269

So corny

firstbreathOOC

Is this a new update?

Giger_jr

Yes

Satanic_Moth

What was wrong with the raptors?

Giger_jr

On release, both JP3 males and females had quills. After the first patch, they’ve removed quills from the female variant, which also removed them from males. It also caused their lower row of teeth to disappear. After today’s update, only males have quills and their teeth are back. Females still have red eyes instead of bright yellow, but that’s a small detail compared to other problems they had before.
