I got stuck in line once with about 4 cars behind me. The machine wouldn't run. The door wouldn't open. No one is on site at anytime. Their phone number leads directly to a voicemail inbox that is ALWAYS full.
If this happens to you, you can walk around and there is a button that will open it for you inside the bay. Then you call your CC and refund the purchase lol
Jet Auto Wash on highland does and has become one of my fav washes (despite being a bit of a drive for me).
Ottawa and River Esso does as well.
Both above depend on the level of wash you buy - cheapest package usually doesn't cover undercarriage wash.
You're correct, H2GO doesn't have an under spray wash for cars if you are doing self-serve. The 24/7 Self Serve on Blockline (340 Kingswood) does have the button to spray underneath. I have no idea how good these things are, though.
I like the Petro-Canada on Ottawa and Strasburg - if there is no line. It does a good spray for under the car.
> 24/7 Self Serve on Blockline (340 Kingswood)
Yeah, I actually tried that one, but I don't think the underspray there even works when I was there last week.
HAH, so I messed up. I went to take my car for a car wash today... I got there and pulled into the bay specifically for this reason and was so mad when I realized its the Kingswood one. I switch between the two depending if I'm at work or at home.
MY BAD! I'm sorry guys.
Bahahahahaha. The worst car wash in the golden triangle. I was maintenance mechanic there for a few months. Shit was always broken. Pumps never pumped the right ratios. Cashiers adjusting the pumps themselves (with no training) and let’s not talk about the owner. Total POS. I saw multiple employees walk out mid shift.
They have a great priced monthly unlimited plan for washing your car. This assumes you hate your car though. You don't realize how much damage these types of carwashes do to your car until you have a black car.
Problem with touch-less ones is that they don't do a great job at cleaning.
> The worst car wash in the golden triangle. I was maintenance mechanic there for a few months. Shit was always broken. Pumps never pumped the right ratios.
Maybe you were the reason why? Just kidding..
Yeah, it's broken a lot. I figured it's because the owner is cheap and only wants to pay for the minimum maintenance. I have the velocity pass, it's convenient because I live nearby.
I actually find the managers horrible there. Several times a year my wash pass reads that it's cancelled. When I go inside, talk to them politely and ask them to fix it, they tell me there is no credit card on file and that I must have cancelled it or gotten a new card. Always my fault, not their computers.
I've also gone through with a semi-clean car, and come out with grease up the windshield and roof. It wasn't on my car before, it came from the brushes or something. When I told them about it just so they know there is a problem, I'm instead blamed for bringing the grease into the wash.
Also for years the passenger side tire shine dressing hardly dispensed anything compared to the drivers side. Again when I pointed it out so they could look at fixing it, they blamed it on my car, that there was something wrong with my tires. Lol.
Yep. The credit card issue was something I say a lot. The grease could be coming from the bearings since they were all worn out. At every location. As for tire dressing, that’s cause non of the pumps are set right. Overall, tunnel wash is terrible for your car. All the dirt that’s being wiped off the car in front of you is now being smeared all over your car. Micro scratches and swirl marks in the clear coat happen because of this. People think that it’s ok because it’s only a micro scratch. Problem is that there are thousands of them every time you go through a tunnel wash. Once your clear coat is gone the paint is exposed and that causes more problems. It’s better, and cheaper, to use a do it yourself bay wash.
> The credit card issue was something I say a lot.
Sorry, what do you mean by that? They just did it to me again. I tried to get a wash, and it said my pass was suspended. Went inside, they checked, and said 'there is no credit card on file, you must have..' and I cut them off right there.
What I mean is that it happens all the time. To a lot of people. Maybe they’re system loses information? I can’t tell you why. Best bet is to go somewhere else.
Yeah, Kitchener. They used to open at 7am, but they changed the opening hours to 8am 'because of Covid' 2 years ago. Occasionally I've driven by at 7:50am and see the gates working and closed pylons removed to the side, and driven in to get a wash, only to be screamed at by the manager that they don't open until 8.
H2go automatic car wash does the underside. Not sure if all levels do. Alternatively you can go to one of their bays and do it yourself for cheaper

River and ottawa has a sprayer for the undercarriage as you drive over it
The PetroCan at Northfield and King has a buggy-bidet if you spring for one of the upper echelon washes (I think the "Works" and "Super Works.")
Canadian tire car wash at Fischer-Hallman and Ottawa

Petro Canada has undercarriage sprays as you drive into the wash bay https://imgur.com/a/vdw7VRT
If you dont mind doing it yourself, the coin op bays at H2Go have a button for spraying underneath
Where is that button? https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/p/AF1QipPtXYHB1OafaX8ImZ3zwDXUmRUfeBHH-YwVgmWO=s1506-k-no

Some features of some bays are broken. I have a lot of hit or miss experiences here. I had one bay where the hose didnt work, but the underspray did.

All good! Just wanted to make sure in case there was someway to get a manual underspray at H2Go and I simply had no idea. Glad that's sorted out lol
suds in cambridge. contact wash tire shine under body!
Valet Car Wash, with the 'Protect' and 'Extreme' washes.

Yeah, touch less is only good if your car is lightly dusted. Do it yourself bay wash is the best option, but even some of them aren’t great.
Where would you recommend for a car wash/undercarriage for a black car?
Highland road bay wash. Highland and westmount. Next to chucks roadhouse.
Thx 👍
Where would you recommend? I have a black car myself.

Is this on Victoria? The one in Cambridge always seems so helpful but I've never been to another

Wow, well that's a place I wouldn't want to go back to.
