You COULD downgrade back to 36...
By the way, can you reinstall your system, or do you have a specific configuration that you don't want to set up again?

That ussualy causes the issues in the first place.
Just create a new btrfs snapshot and revert to a btrfs snapshot when it still worked. Then check which files were altered between those snapshots to identify the culprit.
Try Timeshift. It is backup solution based on btrfs snapshots.
No backup time, instant restoration, scheduler included (also there is plugin for automatic snapshot before dnf transaction).
One of the best software on my pc.
How did you break fedora?
Updated Fedora 37 regularly yesterday and now it doesn't work any more. Look at my post in r/Fedora for the exact isue
Isn't Fedora 37 in beta right now? Still weird as Fedora is usually rock stable.
It is
Yeah, that's why. You could've just virtualized it. Or reinstalled. Or dual booted.
You are always smarter at the end...
Hope you can fix your install!
Hope so too. At least I can still access a command line so I might be able to get it done

I installed and configured multiple DEs

Jeez, fedora is usually rocksolid. Did you solve it?
Not yet but I will try
"Windows breaks all the time"
It's actually funny Windows is so unstable that I switched to Linux it works really well except for driver issues 😢 You just can't win
I have driver issues on linux with a AMD card from 2013 and on windows it works great
NVIDIA driver on kernel 6 moment
Yeah I can only see the remains over the inbuilt gpu
That is me rn after trying to install Nvidia drivers on Arch
Had an issue with Nvidia drivers aswell. Try running it over the inbuilt gpu
Reading comments like these always feels like dodging a bullet.
Amen. My Mint install is rock solid.
Oh I'm in the arch gang, btw, and with NVIDIA. Just got lucky this time 😄
These are just memes. Unless you're using an ancient card (GTX 700 or older) you're perfectly fine.
This is just another reason why I love Guix. If you make a system-wide change, it keeps an option in grub for the previous generation
Are we the same person? Fedora just died on my external hard drive.
I've never had a Linux distro break randomly, each and every time it was my doing.
you dont have a NVIDIA card
\>install beta OS \>WHY DID IT BREAK?
Rip not-multilib gentoo and my grub-arch. Both wich worked fine for multiple years. It's good for cleaning drives and distro exploring.

Rolling release is truly the king
